Family Law

An amicable, conciliatory approach to property settlements and parenting arrangements that limits cost, conflict and emotional harm.

Family law matters present unique challenges. They are not always legally complex, but they create social and emotional challenges that can affect your life long after proceedings end — especially when children are involved. Costly, adversarial lawyering only makes it harder. Life goes on after separation or divorce, and you need a way forward that is healthy and lasting.

Whether your matter concerns financial and property settlement or parenting arrangements, we aim to re-establish lines of communication and settle your matter in the most cost-effective way possible.

Putting children first

If there are children involved, you will most likely need to keep working with your former partner. Except in cases involving violence — which cannot and will not be tolerated — a respectful dialogue can usually be re-established for the sake of your children. Proceedings eventually end; family ties do not. Finding an amicable solution is almost always in your best interests.
